RR Weather · Early public release
Cookies & Browser Storage
RR Weather uses limited functional storage to keep accounts secure and remember choices on your device.
Cookies RR Weather uses
Account session cookie
When you sign in, RR Weather uses a protected, server-managed session cookie to keep you signed in and secure account requests. It is essential to signed-in features and is removed when you sign out or when the session expires.
Dismissal and tutorial cookies
Functional cookies may remember that you dismissed an early-release notice, completed the site tutorial, or dismissed a device-support notice. They prevent those notices from appearing on every visit and may remain for up to one year.
Infrastructure cookies
Cloudflare or another delivery and security provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the service, manage traffic, or prevent abuse. Those cookies are governed by the provider’s applicable policy.
Local browser storage
Local storage is not a cookie, but RR Weather uses it to keep preferences on this browser, including your onboarding choices, saved places, Home location, timezone, layer visibility, radar selections, forecast-change history, and locally created workspace settings.
This information stays in the browser unless a signed-in feature explicitly syncs supported account data.
Your controls
You can remove cookies and local storage through your browser’s site-data controls. Blocking functional cookies may prevent sign-in or cause notices and tutorials to reappear. Clearing local storage removes preferences and other device-only data.
Changes
This page will be updated before RR Weather adds analytics, advertising, or other storage technologies. Advertising will also require the appropriate consent controls wherever they apply. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
